Iolani Palace – Honolulu Hawaii
You may not be aware that there is a royal palace in the United States. Iolani Palace – now a museum once housed Hawaii’s kings and queens. Have you been? If not – get inspired via our video.
Iolani Palace was the residence of the royal families from the former Kingdom of Hawaii starting with Kamehameha III (1845) and ending with Queen Lili’uokalani (1893).The palace has been renovated and is open to the public. Located in Honolulu, this royal palace is now a museum and is open year-round Monday – Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm. You can take a self-guided tour via headsets. We recommend you purchase tickets in advance during the busy tourist seasons. I’ve been to many palaces around the world and I have to say that the decor in this palace is a bit more laid back and more my style – while still being elegant.
